A Strong Finish to the First Quarter at SADI Training
Dear Esteemed Stakeholders, Partners, Clients, and Friends of SADI,
Welcome to the March edition of From the Director’s Desk.
As we close the first quarter of the year, I find myself reflecting with deep gratitude on just how full, demanding, and rewarding this season has been for us at SADI Training. March, in particular, has been a month of movement, growth, learning, and meaningful connection.
This month alone, we had the privilege of delivering more than thirteen training programmes across Pretoria, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Nairobi, and Dubai. Each programme came with its own unique expectations, energy, and opportunity to create impact. And if there is one thing this first quarter has reminded us, it is this: we never truly “get used to it.”
People often assume that after facilitating and coordinating so many programmes, the process becomes routine. But the truth is, it does not. Every training feels like the first. The nerves are still there. The anticipation is still there. The quiet questions still arise each time: Will this programme meet the need? Will the delegates feel the value? Will we deliver at the level we have set for ourselves? No matter the size of the class, the location, or the topic, there is always that deep desire to outdo ourselves and deliver one successful training event after another. That feeling, I believe, is what keeps us sharp, humble, and committed to excellence.
It is also what reminds us why we do what we do.
At SADI, our work is about far more than managing events or filling programme calendars. It is about creating spaces where professionals grow, institutions are strengthened, and ideas are transformed into meaningful action. That purpose continues to drive us every single time.

Together, these programmes represent not only the breadth of our offering, but also our commitment to delivering relevant, forward-looking, and practical learning experiences across sectors.
A Quarter that Reinforced Our Purpose
One of the greatest highlights of this month was the privilege of hosting one of our largest and most diverse delegate groups to date. We were honoured to welcome participants from institutions across the region, including the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Business Development (Lesotho), Revenue Services Lesotho, Central Bank of Eswatini, SACCO Societies Regulatory Authority (Kenya), Civil Aviation Authority Uganda, Parliament of Malawi, Parliament of Uganda, Central Bank of Kenya, Deposit Protection Fund Uganda, EAC-CASSOA (Kenya), and the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Malawi.
We were also especially honoured that our chief guest for the month was The Deputy Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Mrs. Tšireletso Mojela, whose presence, participation and insights in our programs added great significance and validation.
To see professionals from such diverse institutions come together in shared learning is always a powerful reminder of the role capacity building continues to play across the continent. These moments reaffirm our belief in the value of partnership, knowledge exchange, and regional collaboration.
Growing Ourselves as We Grow Others
While our mission is centred on developing people and institutions, we also remain intentional about our own growth as a team.
In March, we had the opportunity to participate in two valuable learning platforms that enriched our perspective and challenged us to think even more strategically about the future.
The Mustard Seed Branding Masterclass, led by Sheldon Tatchell, offered powerful insights into the importance of intentional branding and the role it plays in shaping not only visibility, but long-term organisational identity and endurance.
We also attended the CySec Africa 2026 Conference, where critical conversations around cybersecurity and Africa’s digital future challenged us to think more deeply about emerging risks, opportunities, and how best to support the institutions we serve in an increasingly digital world.
These experiences were timely reminders that growth must remain continuous, and that as an institution, we must keep learning if we are to keep leading effectively.
Looking Ahead
As we close out the first quarter, we do so with gratitude, renewed perspective, and a deep sense of responsibility. We are proud of what has been accomplished, but even more inspired by what lies ahead.
This quarter has reminded us that excellence is not accidental. It is built through preparation, teamwork, reflection, courage, and the willingness to approach every programme with fresh commitment. We carry that lesson with us into the next quarter, along with the momentum, trust, and partnerships that continue to shape our journey.
