SADI 440 Disaster Management & Response Programme
This course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively manage and respond to disasters, both natural and man-made. It covers the entire disaster management cycle, from preparedness and mitigation to response and recovery. Participants will explore various disaster management strategies, focusing on risk assessment, emergency response planning, resource mobilization, and coordination during a disaster. The course also delves into the roles of government, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and international agencies in disaster response. Through case studies, practical exercises, and simulations, students will develop the expertise to manage disaster situations, provide timely relief, and facilitate long-term recovery in affected communities.
